West Kelowna BC Canada Wedding

Ashley and Brad exhibited much patience throughout their courtship. After Brad mustered up the courage to officially ask Ashley to hang out, the two didn’t become boyfriend and girlfriend until a year later, after a three-month trip to Europe for Ashley and Brad's successful approval from her father to date. Two years later, Brad had to ask Ashley’s father for his permission again, but this time, it was for her hand in marriage. Ashley knew a proposal was imminent and tried hard to figure it out on her own. When Brad didn’t come through with grand plans on the last day of summer, Ashley made them herself. The two attended church and then took a bike ride near Myra Canyon Trestles. As they took a quick pause and bite to eat, Brad professed his love to Ashley and asked her to marry him as fumbled through his backpack for a ring. She confidently said yes and they basked in joy the rest of the day.

Their wedding was all qualities of whimsical, vintage, and delicate. The inspiration started, first and foremost, with Ashley’s dress. All the details flowed from that first purchase. It featured a glamorous beaded bodice and voluminous tulle skirt. She wore a pair of navy blue heels to walk down the aisle. But the glamour didn’t stop there. She also chose statement earrings and wore dramatic makeup.

The bridesmaids looked lovely in long blush dresses and statement necklaces. The groomsmen looked handsome in white shirts, gray pants, and black bowties.

The two were wed at the Sanctuary Gardens in West Kelowna, British Columbia. Under the frame of a chapel, Brad and Ashley united in a beautiful outdoor ceremony with family and friends.

Ashley and Brad were grateful to wed in their hometown but it was also the location that was special. Although physically beautiful, the Sanctuary Gardens has a giving spirt, for it donates a portion of its venue fee to a charity of choice. Afterwards, the fields, the mountains, and the water served as an amazing backdrop for group & couple photos.

Their reception took place at Two Eagles Golf Course. Guests found their seats from a large gold frame escort card display.

Everyone in attendance dined and noshed on cupcakes and homemade desserts. The celebration wasn’t short on sweetness.

And even with all the beautiful details, sense of whimsy, and hometown significance, this bride would still say the best part of the day was saying “I do” to her groom. That’s something in which no amount of detail or décor could possibly compare. This amazing day was undoubtedly worth the wait.
