We spent the months ahead of our trip to Northern Italy in disbelief that it was actually happening. The trip was a literally dream. We would spend ten days traveling through Lake Como, Milan, and surrounding areas, and then top the trip off with a spa day in Iceland. Our days would be filled with the best handmade pasta, cappuccino, gelato, and vino rosso de la casa. I couldn’t wait to wander the cobblestone streets, to listen to the beautiful language and interact with the people. I was there on business and pleasure to help second shoot a wedding with the incomparable Shannon Moffit at Villa Cipressi. While there, Shannon celebrated her wedding anniversary with her husband Joe. We used the opportunity of being in the exquisite and magnificent beauty of Italy to photograph their love at Villa Monastero on their anniversary. The breathtaking villa is located on the shore of Lake Como and offered a stunning backdrop with its verdant botanical gardens and idyllic architecture. Shannon appeared as if she belonged their in a Reformation dress and Bella Belle shoes - undeniably flawless and filled with grace. I’m so elated to share these film scans from Photovision with you. They represent the beauty and love not only between two people but in a culture rooted in love.
