Painted Desert AZ Wedding Elopement

Once in a while, life gives you a second chance and this elopement at the Painted Desert in Arizona was one couple’s chance at a dream wedding. Married young with a tight wedding budget, their friend, a photographer no less, was eager to capture their gorgeous elopement that was as colorful and romantic as the rock formations themselves. The casual and carefree nature of this invitation suite is endearing and thoughtful. The handwritten script and the delicate brush strokes of pastel colors embody the beauty of the location.

The colors of this shoot were exquisite. Perfect for the light colors of the environment, the bride holds a bouquet bursting with berry-colored flowers amid a bed of greenery. And to coordinate, she sports a berry-colored lip.

With her hair softly curled, she dons a veil that wraps her shoulders. It coordinates wonderfully with her strapless A-line gown.

Her dear friend joins her in a pale blue illusion lace gown. She, too, wears a striking lip color to match the dark flowers in her bouquet.

The officiant keeps it simple and casual with a buttoned white shirt and khakis. He stands beside a wooden table holding a modest flower arrangement to mark the ceremony spot.

With the sun peeking through the rock formations and casting a gentle glow on the group, the two said “I do” once again and shared a kiss.

Since they couldn’t capture professional photos for their first wedding, the couple enjoyed taking their time and soaking in every second in front of the lens. Moments of joy, reflection, and affection are shared as they walk hand in hand.

The small reception scene gains inspiration from the florals and offers a generous dose of color in the desert.

Red vintage glassware, gold flatware, gold candlesticks, and a centerpiece are just the start. The entire tablescape rests on a piece of wood floating in the air by four large rocks. What a clever and inventive way to tie in the location.

Veil or no veil, the bride looks utterly classic and picturesque in this gorgeous desert landscape. The inclusion of such bold colors amid the natural tones of the desert is eye-catching and attractive.
