Ludwigsburg Palace Germany Wedding

Ludwigsburg Palace Germany Wedding.

The Schloss Ludwigsburg photoshoot was specifically for a couple who wanted to have beautiful wedding images around the Schloss without the stress of the wedding day. There was no ceremony or reception, just the two and me. It was probably the most relaxing shoot I've ever done and the couple could really enjoy their moments and time together. No one was watching or hurrying them along and the result was lots of pretty photos of the two of them.

continued: Even though Schloss Ludwigsburg is owned by the state and a very historic building, we had the opportunity to take pictures inside of some of the most incredible rooms. The most stunning room and our favorite was the Ahnengallerie which had the most beautiful painted ceiling. The next room also blew us away: the Rococo Gallery. The detail on the walls and ceiling was just so stunning and matched the bride's dress perfectly. You could just imagine her elegantly walking down the hallways 200 years ago.

The groom decided to wear a pink suit, which I thought was brilliant. It is not often that you see people going out of their comfort zone and do something that is different and not seen as the norm. However, I loved how the suit added a modern twist to a historic setting. In a way it shows how much the world has changed in the last 200-300 years as even a few years ago, people may have frowned upon this color for a man. A man can wear whatever he wishes nowadays and not what tradition tells him which is a sign of the freedoms we have that didn’t exist back in the 17th century. In just a few hundred years, history has come a long way and every day we create a new history with new ideas and a new society. It’s pretty amazing when you stop and take a look for a moment.
