Legare Waring House Charleston South Carolina Real Wedding

There is a nothing like a southern wedding. It really does have a certain charm. It can have the sophistication of a northern affair but surely it just is different. It could be the venue. It could be the food. When Brianna and Avery got married in Charleston, South Carolina, they preserved the southern charm but took it up a notch. charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings charleston sc weddings

They combined traditional and modern elements. Brianna wore an incredible strapless blush gown that had an amazing bottom with a long train. She wore a jeweled headpiece in her hair and a simple necklace. This was a definite departure from tradition, however, the tradition was completely abandoned. Her brides maid wore a white strapless dress. The groom also had a little flair as well. He wore the customary tuxedo but wore a black bow tie instead of a black one.

They also included the addition of colors throughout the day. They also used gold and black in the place setting.

But the venue can help set the tone for an event. It definitely added the southern charm to these nuptials even though it was a modern affair. Avery and Brianna got married at the Legare Waring House and Gardens. It was originally built in the 1840's and was part of the Old Town Plantation. It has been renovated since then.

The desserts also had a modern twist. They did not have a multiple tiered cake. It was a single layer and it was not white. They also had cupcakes in the shape of the first initial of their last name. How original?

Brianna and Avery showed from their wedding that you can embrace the ambiance and culture of your wedding venue without sacrificing your individuality. So don't fret if your venue does not perfectly fit your theme, plan your day.  Incorporate the theme into your venue but also put your stamp on it. After all, it is your day. You should have it your way.
