Winter engagement shoot in Russia. Engagement shoots celebrate a couple ready to take that next step in their relationship. Although most engagement shoots capture the essence of the bride and groom's personality, this one is especially unique. It honors the everyday aspect of two lives coming together while converging into a wintry Russian atmosphere.
This couple chose to let the photographer into their home and photograph what it is they do every day. They start by making and cooking breakfast together. Clad in comfy clothes, they nosh and share coffee in a brightly lit room.
They make their way to the sofa where they cuddle with their beloved pets. The bride wears a white sundress and mint green cardigan while the groom wears linen shorts and a button-down shirt.
The photographer also captures simple posed shots of the bride and one of the couple embracing. The simplicity of the photos is quite beautiful and organic.
They take their shoot outside, first posing with a delectable chocolate cake, as the spirit of winter can be seen through the cozy sweater and mittens of the groom.
The bride bundles up in a thick gray cardigan, gray pencil skirt and black turtleneck. She is seen surrounded by snowy banks and trees in the distance. Her blonde hair catches the delicate rays of sunlight.
Together, the couple trek through the snow, holding hands and occasionally looking back at the photographer.
They are also seen cradling hot drinks, and each other, in the snow.
The couple comes out from the forest and finds themselves surrounded by a blanket of white. Even though it's cold, the photographer manages to capture a sense of awe-inspiring warmth with the element of sunlight.
They complete the shoot back under the trees with a red and blue flannel blanket across their shoulders. The kiss at the end of the session is the perfect culmination of an intimate and cozy day capturing wonderful moments in an otherwise chilly environment.
It proves that two hearts basking in love can create warmth anywhere they roam.
