DIY Vancouver British Columbia Canada Real Wedding

There are so many choices for themes and venues when planning a wedding. You could be completely traditional which is probably the less complicated path or you can select one which would require some ingenuity. Is there a way that they can be blended? We think that Merissa and Mark did a wonderful job of doing this when they tied the knot in Vancouver, British Columbia. canada real weddings bride getting ready wedding note rustic wedding bouquet burlap bowtie groom getting ready first wedding look first look canada real weddings canada real weddings canada real weddings canada real weddings

Her gown is so classic and vintage at the same time. It is made of lace with capped sleeves. She wore her hair in braids which was wrapped around her head. She also added a thin headband as well.  Her brides maids are wore similar dresses.

The theme was very laid back which was evidenced by the groom and groomsmen. They wore shirts with bow ties and suspenders. They topped off the ensembles with sneakers.

Choosing the right venue to fit the theme will make it much easier to plan your day. Merissa and Mark selected the Aberthau Mansion, which is a tudor styled building, located in Vancouver, British Columbia. The architecture, the grounds and even the home furnishings were perfect for this classic, vintage wedding.

They added some do-it-yourself items to make it even more personal and down to earth. The bouquet, the area where they exchanged their vows as well as a personal note from Merissa to Mark were all elements that made this a special event.

As you can see from Merissa and Mark, you can have a theme for your wedding and not necessarily go overboard with the decor. They made simple touches to the decorations and had ensembles to fit. The venue also matched their theme. If you want it to come out right, it must be a complete package. Remember a wedding is like a book. It has a beginning, a middle and an end. You want all of the pieces to fit together so that you have a cohesive package. This will give you a day to remember for the rest of your life.
