Collin + Erica Chicago Illinois Engagement Session

The stunning city of Chicago was the perfect backdrop for Collin and Erica’s engagement shoot. While the beautiful buildings are shown in various images, Collin and Erica stole the show with their love – you can just see it in the looks or smiles they give each other. Erica looked gorgeous in fuchsia pants and a lovely lace top, which gave a perfect pop of color in each of the engagement shoot locations. The couple stood in front of the iconic Cloud Gate in the city’s Millennium Park, skyscrapers and a stunning garden landscape to complete the engagement shoot. modern-chicago-engagement-session-trendy-bride

In the garden, simple wooden seating and gorgeous greenery – complete with lavender plants – served as a picturesque backdrop for the couple. The photographer did an amazing job capturing the love between the couple and including that scenic beauty in the background for timeless pictures.

Erica changed into a sunny yellow dress, which was an equally perfect choice for the remaining photographs, while Collin changed into a crisp white dress shirt. Collin and Erica looked amazing with their fresh look with stunning greenery and romantic stone pathways as the surroundings

Each photo is spectacularly done – the happiness between Collin and Erica is evident and wish them a happily ever after!

From the bride: Collin and I seemed destined to meet, but we did our best to keep just missing each other. Despite both attending the University of Richmond, going to the same parties and relocating to Washington DC after school, it took 6 years for the two of us to officially meet. Our stars finally aligned in the spring of 2010. He ended up as roommates with the boyfriend of my best friend from college. She invited me to a charity event Collin was hosting for his younger brother, Corey, one weekend in March. Little did I know what would come from what seemed like a normal night out with my girlfriends. As soon as I walked in the door, Collin came right over to introduced himself. There was an instant connection and it truly felt as if the world was pulling us together. In fact, literally within the first ten minutes Collin asked me on a date to the Miike Snow concert, a show he was supposed to go to with his friend Mike. We spent the rest of the evening talking and dancing and I couldn't wait to see him again! The concert was two weeks later and we've been together ever since. Our favorite moments are as simple as a night in cooking together with a glass of wine and good music or cuddling up on the couch to watch our favorite show. I feel incredibly blessed and honored to be marrying Collin and am counting down the days until our wedding day! We chose to take our pictures in Chicago because I grew up in the area and coming back to the city represented a new chapter in our life together. One of our favorite things about the city is the breathtaking skyline view so we knew we wanted to incorporate that into the photos. We also love color - I think it represents our rosy outlook on life - so we wanted some garden shots as well. As for an outfit choice, I'm a huge girly girl and pink is my favorite color. I thought it would be fun to incorporate that into my outfit as well as a romantic lace top.
