Rooftop Wedding Inspiration.

Mid-century glamour was the inspiration behind this rooftop styled shoot in Seattle, Washington. Set against the Nest at the Thompson Hotel, this gorgeous bold and structured design period is highlighted through romantic pastels, soft floral collections, and chic accents.

Mid-century modern designs celebrate the iconic graphic design and architecture of the late thirties, forties and fifties. This invitation suite captures that retro essence with its bold gray pieces, graceful floral designs and funky font.

The bouquet is out-of-this-world stunning with its plethora of pink and white ranunculus and assorted flowers all tied with light pink ribbons.

The green velvet sofas definitely epitomize the mid-century modern movement. The bride looks stunning as she rests on one overlooking the large windows.

Her hair is curled and pulled up in a chic ponytail. The style showcases the plunging back of her gown, which is accented with a statement necklace.

The groom is a dapper gentleman in a gray tuxedo with a navy lapel and tie. Of course, his hair is combed perfectly to the side.

The bride lets her hair down in dramatic fashion to amp up the glamour. The front of her gown features a lace sweetheart neckline. The design is set apart by its unique laser-cut lace.

On the reception table is a laser-cut lace overlay that is cohesive with the bride's gown.

The table is decorated with gorgeous, texture-filled centerpieces, taper candles in modern holders and a collection of unique china in various patterns, topped with a gold feather and pink cheese spreader.

The cake is the epitome of mid-century modern design. It’s perfectly crafted with a delicate pink color and retro-inspired flowers on the base. It’s presented on a retro gold stand for added vintage appeal.

A drink cart showcases a few additional accents that are whimsical and fun. A deer, decanter and glasses create a beautiful display.

The bride and groom make their way out to the rooftop where they overlook the beautiful Seattle skyline.

From the crisp glass railing, they are a vision as they embrace the beautiful present-day city with a throwback to a glamorous time in design.

All things combined, this shoot inspires any bride to explore and play with patterns and textures. Femininity, loads of novel details and of course, stunning florals bring mid-century modern design back to life.
