Romantic Styled Shoot

This romantic styled shoot was made possible thanks to the alluring beauty of the Historic Smithonia Farm in rural Georgia. Where handmade brick barns and rolling pastures comprise the location’s character, this shoot incorporates romantic and heirloom touches that remind us of the wedding charm of yesteryear. The invitation suite resembles a timeworn collection of parchment pieces with organic earth tones, held together through modern calligraphy, textured ribbons and vintage stamps.

The statement bauble, a ruby ring, echoes the red brick found throughout the property of Smithonia Farm.

The bride’s bouquet includes a gorgeous arrangement filled with lots of varying textures and blooms. While the abundance of greenery is apparent, the soft touches of pink and blue add a romantic feel.

The bride stuns in a modern A-line lace Watters gown with an illusion neckline and long veil.

The groom looks equally as classic in a slim fit black tuxedo, complete with a black bow tie. The characteristics of his boutonniere play off the organic nature of the bride’s bouquet.

The couple grabs hands and stroll about the property, exploring everything from the quiet woods to the barns.

Historic red bricks and a flower bed full of greenery marks the entrance to the reception space.

As she descends the lantern-lit steps, the groom offers his hand as they make their way inside.

The tablescape features a natural table dressed up with a white cheesecloth runner. White china with a white hand-tied napkin await each guest as the soft glow from taper candles fills the room.

A two-tier wedding cake is on display on a vintage table. The simple creation features white buttercream adorned with assorted flowers and greenery seen throughout the shoot.

The couple make their way back outside, where the groom offers a tray of meats, cheeses, and fruits.

As the sun dips down below the hills, the bride and groom embrace one another near the fence, soaking in the sunset and relishing in the venue’s timeless, classic ambiance.

Hopeless romantics everywhere can find solace in locations like Smithonia Farm. Because it's in these historic gems where the timeless touches and classic traditions of the past still possess the ability, after all these years, to produce wonderful wedding memories.
