Romantic Barn Christmas styled wedding shoot. The style of Christmas varies from place to place and we've seen many interpretations of Christmas expression throughout the years. From classic Victorian to colorfully modern, there are many variations to celebrating the spirit of the season. This styled shoot in Van Alstyne, Texas, mixes some classic touches with modern-day Bohemian splendor. The styled shoot starts with a beautiful red and black invitation. A small leaf detail, red calligraphy and black font makes for a contemporary design. The envelope is red with a unique black and white inner flap.

The tablescape starts on a natural wooden table. A garland of evergreen runs down its center. Tall gold candelabras and short white candelabras hold white and gold candles, respectively. Red place cards add a punch of color and complement the vintage place settings and gold stemware.

Each plate is kissed with a lace napkin and red ornament.

The perfect location for a Christmas shoot takes place in an up fitted barn. String lights illuminate the aluminum roof and wood covers the walls and floor.

The dessert table was a barrel dressed up with lace. It featured candles, ornaments, pine cones, roses and mistletoe. Petite cake stands held up the beautiful desserts.

The bride embraced the Bohemian look with Christmas in mind. Her dark hair was adorned with a floral crown of white, pink and dark red roses. She wore a lace-inspired V-neck gown with an empire waist. Her brilliant bouquet matched the floral crown.

The groom looked complementary with a white shirt, black suspenders and a black bowtie. Fittingly, his boutonniere incorporated a red rose, dusty miller and of course, mistletoe.

Making their way outside, the bride and groom take photos in front of the traditional red barn. How perfect! The stunning background echoes the feelings of Christmas with its beautiful, rich color and touches of light.

The bride grabs a shawl to cover her shoulders in the chilly air.

Hints of Christmas appear everywhere in this shoot but it's not overwhelming or loud. The session embraces the delicate qualities of the season that make it so special and incorporates them into a gorgeous homage of what is sure to be the Merriest of Christmases.
