Lubbock Texas Wedding

Lubbock Texas Wedding.

From the bride: The inspiration behind our wedding was a modern romantic style. The color palette was deep rich colors contrasted with light, easy shades. We ended up choosing mauve, dusty rose, blush, nude, marsala, and navy. I wanted to achieve a sort of elegance/fairy tale/whimsical theme. We had a traditional Catholic wedding ceremony. It was important to us to focus our ceremony on our faith first and not to get caught up in all the things that go into the wedding, but the union itself. We had a traditional Catholic mass in our ceremony. Before our ceremony, both my husband and I were able to have the sacrament of confession. So in our wedding day, we were able to celebrate three sacraments: reconciliation, Eucharist, and matrimony. It was an incredible and very humbling experience. It made one of the biggest days of our lives that much more meaningful.

The best advice for wedding planning I could give is that through all the stress, headaches, and craziness, don’t forget to cherish every single moment. Celebrate the ups and the downs of the planning process and HAVE FUN! Don’t let the stress come between you and your fiancé, rather make it into a fun and exciting experience, because that’s exactly what it is. At the very beginning, figure out what your biggest priorities are, whether it be your faith, fiancé, family, etc., and don’t let those fall through the cracks. Keep those important things the most important pillars and incorporate them into your engagement and wedding season. It makes the whole wedding that much more special and meaningful.
