Rustic Norristown Pennsylvania Real Wedding.
With weddings today, non-traditional is becoming the new traditional more than ever before. Couple Carey and Alex created rustic romance during their outdoor ceremony and reception in Norristown, Pennsylvania, and they chose to incorporate elements that have been quite popular as of late, such as handmade details and soft, pastel colors.
Carey went for understated elegance in a lace gown; however, the back was definitely eye-catching for its lace detail and button-down closure. She wore a beautiful updo that gathered to the side and topped it with a simple white flower. She didn’t leave her tootsies out either, as they glowed in a pair of gold wedges, perfect for style and comfort on her wedding day.
Alex chose a white shirt coordinated with a gray suit and light green bowtie for his wedding day attire. It was a classic choice for the theme of their day. With his hair combed to the side, he was ever the dapper don.
Carey was escorted down an aisle flanked with white chairs, decorated with mason jars filled with hydrangea, baby’s breath and assorted wildflowers. They said I do! in front of friends and family who seemed to all wear one thing in common: bright, happy smiles for the couple.
Handmade signs pointed guests in the right direction for each part of the event. The reception took place nearby in a beautiful open-air structure. It was lit with large lanterns and string lights and round tables were decorated with sweet flower arrangements and candles. Soft pinks, purples, greens and whites were the color palette the couple chose for their special day.
Upon every table was a small book asking guests various questions such as Love is [fill in your answer] and What’s the most romantic movie you have seen? This is a great way to get loved ones opinions, advice and general spin on marriage. They also offered guests delectable jars of jams and pickled peppers and cucumbers as a parting gift for their love and presence.
As a tender culmination to the already sweet occasion, the couple crowned their wedding cake with a small banner that said “Just Married.†It sat atop three round tiers, adorned with roses and baby’s breath. This was a touching, simple display to take a wedding cake from delicious to darling.
Carey and Alex incorporated homespun details with elegance and class. Their timeless wedding might be non-traditional, for now, but as they look back in fifty years, their feelings from that day will still be relevant and unwavering. Congratulations to this couple!
