United Kingdom Real Wedding.
All it takes is a click for fate to step in and give you a fairytale. For Lorraine and Gavin, that storybook romance led them straight to the Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire, United Kingdom, where they pledged their love in front of close friends and family. This wedding had all the charm one might expect from an English garden. The castle, itself, is surrounded by lush flora, benches and archways. This setting was the perfect place for exquisite and creative wedding photography, as well.
Lorraine wore a soft, romantic dress that featured ruching on the bodice, a lace train, and buttons going all down the back. Her waist-length veil was accessorized with small white flowers in her hair. And to offset the white, she carried a bouquet created with assorted purple flowers, white roses and stephanotis.
Her bridesmaids looked equally lovely in navy chiffon dresses and silver heels of their choosing. They also carried smaller, simpler bouquets with the same flowers as the bride’s. They anxiously waited for the bride to make her grand entrance from her brother’s car.
Lorraine ascended the aisle, escorted by brother, Tim, to her groom. Gavin wore a gray tuxedo with white vest, tie and shirt. It coordinated perfectly with the other romantic colors included in the details of the wedding.
As Gavin saw his bride, he mouthed a resounding Wow as she approached him. Lorraine even squeezed his hand to stop his crying.
After the heartfelt ceremony surrounded by traditional pieces of history and modern purple uplighting, and a photo shoot with their photographer, the couple was ready to celebrate with their guests in truly unique fashion. Many of the touches found at the reception were created by Lorraine, herself, including small, fabric-covered birds.
The wedding cake echoed this theme with two bride and groom love birds atop three tiers covered in teal and purple flowers.
The guests were feted with a hog roast, personal tours of the castle from the Berkeley staff, and disco dancing. It was a lively way to bring together old world charm and modern day entertainment.
Lorraine and Gavin made their wedding day more than just an event “ it was an unforgettable experience. As most storybook couples who find themselves in castles, we, too, know that Lorraine and Gavin will live happily ever after.
