Whooping Crane Farm Wedding

Whooping Crane Farm Wedding. Christie and Will's Nashville wedding took place at Whooping Crane Farm. It was described as "incredible, genuine and real," showcasing the many cherished facets of their relationship that led them to this special day. And they celebrated this next step in true Southern style with loads of flowers, smiles and just about the most scrumptious wedding cake you've ever seen.

Christie and Will set their sights on shades of blue. From the outset, their wedding day featured not one, but several hues that complemented each and every person, place setting, and piece of décor. Guests first got a glimpse of the color palette on the tent they set up outside, which was embellished with a blue tasseled banner on the front.

Christie also held the color close with her wedding shoes – a pair of peep-toe heels in a dusty shade of blue.

The flowers used in Christie's bouquet featured an array of romantic colors that looked hand-picked in her arrangement. It's no surprise as she owns her own floral business!

Christie beamed in a lace V-neck gown with an open back that epitomized grace and elegance. She accessorized with a long veil and couldn't wait to show Will her wedding day look.

Their day started with a first look moment. With his back turned, Will, who was dressed in a gray suit with a blue vest and tie, anxiously awaited his bride. After they laid their eyes on one another, they shared letters they had written in small journals, describing their anticipation for getting married and how much they treasured their lives together.

They wiped away tears, held hands, and promised each other forever before making their way to the ceremony spot for group photos.

Christie gathered with her bridesmaids, who all wore long dresses in different shades of blue and various flattering styles.

The entire bridal party was a blue and gray vision as they stood in front of the fabric-draped trees where the couple would say their vows.

Even the adorable ring bearer and flowers girls were all smiles and ready for their official wedding duties.

Guests found their seats in dark wooden chairs and the bride and groom met at the altar. With lush trees all around them, the two said "I do" in front of their closest friends and family.

Since Christie and Will farm the land across from Whooping Crane farm, they had a unique way of infusing their own personal touch into the reception. For starters, they planted all of the flower boxes that served as centerpieces on the tables.

Additionally, the couple grew the food that they served at their wedding, as well. So, guests got a taste of their talents under the seamless white tent as they sat at blue linen-covered tables adorned with burlap and romantic candlelight.

One last focal point for the evening was definitely Christie and Will's wedding cake. This supreme creation featured three smooth white round tiers with a cascade of gold leaf. Embellishments included flowers, berries, and the prettiest blue and pink French macaroons.

Christie and Will definitely professed their love for the land at their wedding. From the outdoor ceremony to the local farm-to-table meal, everything was truly nurtured and produced with love. This simple, timeless Southern wedding was exactly what they had hoped – an adventure from start to end.
