Styled Boho Beach Bridal Portrait Session. Linda wanted her bridal portraits to encapsulate the feeling of her wedding, which took place in Galveston, Texas. She climbed up on the rocky jetty and with the water splashing behind her, produced an aura of tranquility and a picture of pastel passion right at the ocean's edge.
She gathered flowers from the local Central Market to create a floral crown for her hair, as well as her bouquet. Each featured an assortment of colors and textures, such as golden crespedia, pink garden roses, green hypericum berries, and viburnum berries.
She donned a strapless ball gown with a sweetheart neckline. The billowy white skirt offered a most excellent contrast to the sharp and jagged dark edges of the jetty. Her hair was braided to the side in a complementary and appropriate style.
Her makeup looked soft and pretty. She chose dark eyeliner but drew added focus to her eyes with the hint of pink eye-shadow. The color was also echoed in her soft pink lipstick.
Throughout the shoot, Linda slightly changed her look. In one shot, she added a long veil underneath the floral crown. It's a twist on two accessories that are normally exclusively kept separate.
She hopped down from the jetty and posed in a comfy but striking peacock blue chair. The velvety fabric was luxurious and Linda's casual pause in the chair looked completely natural.
The photographer captured a few more photos that showed off the bride's makeup and flowers. The attention to detail in this shoot was key because the photographer truly centered the focus on the bride.
In one final, more traditional shot, Linda wore just the veil. She also showed off her engagement ring and the beautiful beaded highlight of the waist of her gown.
The lovely and unique characteristic about this Styled Boho session is that the bride embraced a few different accessories but still resembled herself. She aimed to look romantic and soft, accomplishing it simply with a handmade floral crown, a beautiful, refreshing location and a peaceful and natural countenance.
