Lake Georgetown Texas Wedding. When thinking about the color scheme for a rustic wedding, I am sure that tan or brown immediately come to mind. But just because you are a country girl, does not mean that you don't like colors. Holly and Garrett may have had a country wedding when they got married in Germantown, Texas but they had lots of colors. They tied the knot at the Villa at Germantown. It was a wonderful venue for this rustic affair. The grounds, the lake and the cabin were the perfect setting for this wedding.
Holly wore the most amazing lace dress. It had such incredible details on the bodice. The train on her gown was so long and she had a veil to match. She wore the most interesting earrings but that's where the traditional stopped with this bride. She had a bouquet that had such vibrant pastel colors. She topped off her outfit with sky blue cowboy boots. Garrett continued the rustic theme with his ensemble. He wore a black shirt and jeans. No suit for this cowboy.
His grooms men wore the same outfits.
The bridesmaids were so bright. They wore light blue/green short dresses with cowboy boots. Their bouquets had the same vibrant colors like Holly's.
But despite the colors, Holly still wanted to maintain the rustic theme in her wedding celebration. She included DIY signs as well antique pieces. She had a typewriter, old clock and other vintage pieces. This just added to rustic feel of the nuptials.
So if you are a country girl at heart but also like colors, you can see that the two can be combined quite beautifully. Go ahead and plan your dream wedding. Add a splash of color or lots of them. Adding color will just make your nuptials even more festive. Have a colorful wedding day.
