Rustic Norfolk Virginia Wedding Inspiration Shoot
Rustic and classic don't seem belong in the same sentence. If you are planning your wedding and you like both of these ideas but are unsure which to choose, we have a shoot to share with you that we hope will provide inspiration to combine both ideas. Â
The gown is simply stunning. The sleeveless lace dress is beautiful. The applique on the bodice is breathtaking. We show that you can wear a dress like this with a flower or similar item in your hair for more of modern feel or a long traditional veil. Either way, it is a very classic look.
However, the venue can definitely assist with the rustic feel. This shoot took place at the The Hermitage Museum and Gardens in Norfolk, Virginia. The historic house was first constructed in 1908Â as a five bedroom home by William and Florence Sloan but was expanded to forty two rooms in 1936. It also boasts twelve acres of formal gardens and natural woodlands as well as educational wetlands. It was officially opened as a museum in 1940.
Let's look at the place setting. The decorative plate with the leaf design is so rustic especially with the burlap napkins.
The landscape of the grounds as well as the wonderful architecture provide great backdrop. History and rustic definitely go hand in hand. It also allows you to be classic as well. The furniture can also be helpful.
We hope that we have inspired how to combine rustic and classic. The setting is a necessity but having the right elements are essential. Be inspired and you can have a rustic, classic wedding.
