Luxury VA Wedding at Kesnick Hall. Brooke and Jared have quite the sentimental love story. They met while sharing a beach house in Avalon, New Jersey, and quickly realized they both had a love for Philadelphia sports, the beach, and a competitive streak at cornhole. They were also both lawyers and found their offices were right across the street from one another. For fostering their relationship, the logistics couldn’t have been better. They snuck out for coffee breaks, grabbed dinner in the city, and never missed a Phillies playoff game. They even took the plunge the next summer and became the parents to a beautiful golden retriever named Holly.
The Phillies were destined for success and so were Brooke and Jared. On a beautiful September day, Jared took Brooke to The Point on Saranac Lake. At first, she thought they were camping and feigned her excitement but quickly realized they were staying at the Rockefeller’s famous vacation estate. They set out on a private cruise around the lake. It was there that Jared got down on one knee and they returned to “camp” as a newly engaged couple.
Their wedding was a weekend-long celebration full of special moments. Guest accommodations, the ceremony, and reception all took place at Keswick Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia, a place Jared knows a lot about as a UVA alum. The venue boasted an Italian villa feel that Brooke loved and offered magnificent views of the Virginia countryside.
The couple embraced neutral tones for their outdoor celebration and outfitted many aspects of the day with orchids, garden roses, white hydrangea, and ivory astilbe. The wedding party wore black tuxedos and neutral-colored gowns, while Brooke chose a strapless lace fit-and-flare and Jared a white dinner jacket.
The friend who introduced them also officiated the ceremony and Holly, their beloved furry friend, not only appeared in the ceremony but walked out with the couple, as well. Brooke and Jared chose to perform a unity sand ceremony, with sand from the beach in Avalon where they first met.
Their reception was Southern sophistication at its finest and they ended the night with a bang – a stream of fireworks as they cut into their beautiful cake.
As they held hands and watched the light rain down through the night sky, Brooke and Jared felt like they were in a fairytale, relishing in the personal touches, the tender moments, and the love of family and friends.
