Lena Hall Celebrity Engagement

Lena Hall Celebrity Engagement.

With the impending release of her new TNT television series, Snowpiercer, the Tony Award winning actress, Lena Hall, finds herself in her biggest role to date.

This wasn’t a typical engagement session. Lena Hall and her fiancé Jonathan Stein  returned to Lena’s home town San Francisco from New York for just a few days to shoot their engagement photos for their announcements.  The couple wanted a romantic afternoon in a classic and decadent setting. The 19th century Beaux-Arts architecture at The Green Room in the War Memorial building was the perfect setting for what the two had envisioned. With so much space to fill inside the room, we brought in vendors to transform and elevate the scene from just an ordinary engagement shoot to a fairy tale experience for two.

In an inviting sea foam green room with soaring ceilings and gold trim, Lena and Jonathan sparkled like the opulent chandeliers that hung above them.

Lena had such a graceful manor in front of the camera and Jonathan beamed with  adoration as the two filled the room with their love.

The couple complimented each other so well, displaying such a lyrical infectious connection, in their gestures with one another. “I have photographed Lena many times  before, however she was glowing with a euphoric bliss this time.” Says Melisa Hall, Photographer and concept creator of the shoot.

Lindsay Lauren of Lindsay Lauren Events created a simple and timeless style that paired nicely with the couple’s taste. She brought in a conversation set with vintage style furniture pieces that played beautifully in the couple posing in a more relaxed manner. In keeping with the exquisiteness of the Green Room San Francisco floral and event designer, Nancy Liu Chin, designed floral pieces that had hints of cream, pale nudes, apricots with accents of dramatic and romantic crimson, scarlet, plum, and pops of magenta. Elegant ranunculus, delicate  Sweet peas, textural scabiosa florals were mixed with open and voluptuous roses and local foliage.

Dress designer Suzanne Hanley of Atelier Des Modistes, dressed Lena in a few of her hand made gorgeous gowns for the shoot. She hand selected dresses that paired beautifully with the vintage elements of the shoot whilst complimenting Lenas fashion forward style. Lena was also dressed in an off the runway beautiful Malan Brenton dress the photos in front of the building.

HOW THE COUPLE MET: Lena and Jonathan met through a dating app suggested to Lena by long time friend Josh Groban. The couples’ first meeting was at the Bowery Hotel Lobby and was followed by an entire evening getting to know each other waking around lower Manhattan. A romantic moment in Washington Square Park was where they shared their first kiss.Although their relationship was slow to start in the beginning, the two were incredibly drawn to one another and eventually moved forward as a couple.

On Christmas Eve in Bermuda, on a dock overlooking the sunset, Jonathan got down on one knee and proposed. It was the perfect place to pop the question as it was one of their most visited spots in Bermuda.

Jonathan presented Lena with a gorgeous three and a quarter carat vintage 1920’s diamond ring. Lena and Jonathan are planning on enjoying a long engagement and have yet to set a date for later next year.
