Highland Springs Resort is an historic wedding venue set in Cherry Valley, California. Not only does it boast lavender fields and olive groves, but it also has an 1,100 year old Coastal Live Oak tree – the second oldest in the world! Ernest Hemingway and Albert Einstein are just a few of the notable names to experience Highland Springs. And now, this couple has created their own slice of history at this beautiful venue. The day was all about rustic romance. The bride wore a tulle ball gown, that was as classic as it was beautiful, and glamorous peep toe heels.
She carried a bouquet full of pastel-colored flowers such as peach, pink, and white roses, and succulents.
The couple took photos with their attendants before the ceremony. The groom and his groomsmen looked dashing in black suits and gray ties.
And bridesmaids complemented their looks in long dusty gray dresses with empire waists.
The ceremony took place at the beloved oak tree where guests witnessed a darling unity moment with the pouring of sand, and two families officially joining as one.
Following the ceremony was a reception that featured lawn games for guests to enjoy, like Jenga and croquet, along with a beautiful dinner.
While guests partook in the evening’s amenities, the couple made their way to the lavender field for some beautiful post-ceremony photos before joining the celebration.
Around the perimeter of the reception space sat the guests’ tables. The head table featured simple white linens with a line of glass bottles housing pink roses.
The round reception tables glittered with silver table runners, and table numbers in gorgeous pink and white centerpieces.
The cake said it all. Three white tiers were adorned with frosted petal-like details and a cascade of colorful roses. Atop the creation was an aptly written cake topper that said “best day ever.”
The dance floor was lit up from the Edison lights overhead and the couple wasted no time enjoying their first dance as husband and wife.
The Highlands Spring Resort is rich in beauty, romance, and recollections. Couples have been promising forever here since the 1800s. Now, this beautiful couple has joined the ranks of those lucky enough to have eternal memories of the California landmark.
