Give Thanks Day 3_ The day before thanksgiving !!
Wednesday, November 23rd, 2011I can’t wait. Can you? The table will be nicely spread to display all of the wonderful treats that have been prepared. But don’t forget that there will be those who are not as fortunate. They may not have a place to live, food to eat or they just may be alone. Use this as a time to give. If you know someone who will be alone, invite them to your home. Take time tomorrow to serve food at a homeless shelter. It doesn’t matter what you do, just keep the message of the season alive. Give to others because you are grateful for what you have not because they can give you anything in return. That is the real message of Thanksgiving. You have permission tomorrow to take a break from your wedding planning to be truly thankful for your blessings.

Today is a day to remember the heroes and all the people who gave their lives. All those self-less firefighters, that continued to look for people with extreme danger ahead. So many families were effected by this. I wasn’t there that day but 9-11 can never be a day that we forget. This day touched so many people’s lives. As for me I prayed a little harder and became more grateful for all the little moments. Some prayed for the first time on this day. Families drew closer. Friends reconnected. People realized that in the face of tragedy we could still stand. The act of terrorism was to destroy and put fear in our hearts. You can destroy the body but you can’t touch the soul. I am a God fearing & strong american. If and when tragedy hits us again remember to look up. I pray God will keep you in perfect peace.
