Isis + Charles New Year’s Eve Wedding Feature _ Philly

Monday, January 2nd, 2012
What a way to start the year. What a way to start a new life. New life in a new year. Isis and Charles had a wedding spectacular on New Year’s Eve in Philly. They got married in style complete with New Year’s hats, fireworks a champagne toast at midnight. Their guests were treated to a celebration of the coming year as well the love between this wonderful couple. Let’s not forget the view from the balcony which was absolutely breathtaking.  If you get married on a day like New Year’s Eve don’t worry about avoiding the clique. It is fine and actually an asset. It is a happy and fun time. Isn’t that what a wedding is all about? Make your nuptials exciting by using the theme of the day to create an amazing event. Their wedding had a the feel more of a New Year’s Eve party than a wedding. He wore a top hat. The wedding and reception took place at the same venue which made it easier to get the party started after they exchanged their vows. Her dress was traditional yet had a look of a fancy evening gown. The single strap  with the simplicity gave it classic yet elegant look. Her hat was a great choice rather than a veil. It was perfect for her evening wedding.

Steve + Ashley – New Year’s Eve Real Wedding Feature _ Chicago

Saturday, December 31st, 2011
Steve and Ashley really started their married life off with a bang. They exchanged their vows on New Year’s Eve and were able to benefit from the anticipation and excitement that only comes when the clock strikes twelve signaling a new year.
Details, details, details, nothing can be ignored or overlooked if you decide to get married on day like New Year’s Eve. Steve and Ashley definitely were inspired by the significance of the date and you can tell that each part of their nuptials made it an evening to remember.
First of all, the wedding had the feel of an elegant black tie dinner on New Year’s Eve. The bridal gown was amazing and was the perfect choice for this Chicago wedding. It was beautifully gathered at the waist with diamond accents down the center. It had then flared out at the knees making it also like an evening gown. Her veil had pieces of thread in circles throughout it. It gave it a mystical feel as though each circle was a star and she was appearing in the sky as part of this tapestry. This was complimented nicely with the black dresses of the bridesmaids and black suits of the men in the bridal party. They look stunning as though they were going out to a ball and Ashley was Cinderella. This time she did not have to wait for her prince.

Now, let’s talk about the location of the wedding and reception.  Behind the altar were most beautiful ornate designs that made you feel as though you are in a church in Europe and having the lights at the end of each aisle once again played into the New Year’s theme. It was a nice touch. The ballroom where the reception took place was a great location. It is a large open space for dancing and low hanging circular lights that once again played off the day of the event. They used clocks as part of their décor even the groom’s cufflinks had a clock design. Like I said, this couple paid attention to every detail to make their wedding a smashing success.

The photo shoot at the bowling alley was genius. When you think of New Year’s Eve, you automatically think of the ball dropping at Time’s Square in New York. By taking the pictures at this setting and using the balls, they were able to play off of this tradition. Once again, it fit well with the evening’s theme.

At the end all of the guests had New Year’s hats and noise makers. The sparklers were a great attention.
Wow, the cake is very special too.  It was classic and classy. It had the traditional tiers but then it went to another level. The cake was accented with diamonds down the side and they did not have the couple on top. They had a diamond G. Once again, the diamonds were wonderful for the theme and elegance of the day.

If you decide to get married on New Year’s Eve, you can make it a celebration. New Year’s Eve symbolizes a time when we recall the good and bad of the prior year and look for better in the coming year. A wedding is same thing. A couple comes together and declares their love looking towards building a life as one.  The two events challenge you to look with anticipation for the future. Don’t be afraid to choose this for your date just embrace like Steve and Ashley and you will have a wedding to remember.

What a fun wedding !! We wish you all the best in the year to come. Happy New Year from Trendy Bride.

Christmas Wedding in New York _ Merry Christmas From Trendy Bride

Sunday, December 25th, 2011
Christmas, Christmas, Christmas. The mere mention of the word evokes images in your mind. You might think of a beautifully decorated tree, ornaments, snow or Christmas carols. No matter what you will definitely get that warm, fuzzy feeling. You can’t help but think about family gatherings on this day. Can you have a wedding on or around Christmas and not have the magic of your nuptials be lost in the holiday cheer? We feel that it is possible if you pay attention to detail and use the decorations of the season to accentuate your day. Bettina and Chris, who got married on 12/30/10 in Oyster Bay,New York had a very elegant affair but the touches from the holiday just added more sparkle to their day.

Let’s start with the wedding gown. Bettina looks stunning. The gown is made of lace that is wonderfully accented by fur-like straps. This is a departure from the strapless gown that is so popular. Bettina’s shawl gives her a regal appearance. Her jewelry choice compliments the dress also. It is simple and not over the top. Diamonds are always a girl’s best friend.
We can’t say enough about the bouquet.  It is just amazing. You can’t take your eyes off of it. The choice of calla lily also known as the wedding flower is perfect. The berries and the silver leaves let you know that it is Christmas time but the lilies remind you that this a wedding. It is wonderful combination of both special events in one bouquet.

The church is also wonderful. The architecture is very colorful and ornate. The atrium arch is magnificent and Bettina and Chris look as though the world stops as they exchange their vows. The wreaths hanging from the rafters remind you that it’s Christmas time. But once again they add to the affair and do not take anything away from it.
As they walk, it is as though they are part of a Norman Rockwell painting. The snow, the park benches and the grandfather clock just make their stroll more magical. You really feel as though their walk is taking place on Christmas eve and you expect the carolers to come around the corner.

So you see you can have a wonderful, special day even around the holidays. Share in the magic of the season. Let your wedding evoke images of Christmas carols such as I’ll be home for Christmas or White Christmas. It will be a day that you and your guests will cherish.
