Your Dog As The Ring Bearer

Thursday, May 17th, 2012

They say that a dog is man’s best friend. If you are one of the lucky ones to have this, you are probably torn when planning your wedding. How can you not include the most special person in your nuptials?  Well, you are not alone. Here are a few ways that your dog can be more than just a spectator at your wedding.

Some people include them as part of the ceremony such as being the maid of honor, best man or ring bearer.

Others simply dress them up as guests by putting on bow ties and scarves such as the blue, black and polka dot examples that we found.

You can even use them to help with props in your pictures by wearing signs such as love or mom and dad. If you decide to use your dog, it will definitely give the photographer more unique ideas for pictures.

You see that there are many ways that your special four legged friend can share in your special day. Plan for your dog just as you would the rest of your wedding and you won’t have to leave your best friend at home on the most important day of your life.

I found a really cool idea for a bridesmaid look. If your having a vintage wedding you can throw in lace gloves. These bridesmaid did photos with and without them on. The flowers really contrast well with the dresses.

All the bridesmaids wore pearl necklaces. Aren’t the gray vintage headbands cute !

Bachlorette Party Idea

Monday, July 18th, 2011

There are many different options that allow you to spend time with your bridesmaids. You can benefit from this idea not just during your bachelorette party, but afterward during your married life as well–a cooking class.

Your girls can enjoy laughs as they discover new ingredients, share stories of their cooking experiences, have a delicious meal, and you can learn to make an amazing dinner for your husband-to-be.

Or why not have the men join the girls for a couples day? After the meal, go your separate ways to enjoy the last night of freedom.

Groomsmen’s Gifts You Never Considered

Thursday, May 26th, 2011

Trendy Bride is all about finding the next best thing. We admire tradition and believe it has its place in some wedding items, but in other aspects, it really should be thrown out the window!

Groomsman’s gifts are difficult to buy. You don’t want to buy the same item for every man and you want to show them you care. Here are a few ideas that you might not have thought of.

1. Game tickets

Every guy loves sports (or almost every guy! Remember I said not to necessarily buy the same item for every groomsman). So purchase a couple of tickets to a game shortly after your wedding. Your best friend will need time to wind down after the stress of getting you ready on your day.

2. Set of tools

This would be for the man who likes to work with his hands. A new set of wrenches or drill bits might be right up his alley.

3. Video games

Every man is a little boy at heart and video games will never lose a place in their lives. If these friends are your best ones (the thought behind choosing your groomsmen) then you should know what games they would like–intellectual or fighting.
