Brooklyn NY Wedding Inspiration

Brooklyn NY Wedding Inspiration.

I coordinated this styled shoot in hopes of sharing some of the beautiful and perhaps not too well-known locations in Downtown Brooklyn & Brooklyn Heights that are full of charm & history.  The couple in the photos are Quinn & Caleb a real engaged couple living in Brooklyn.  The couple got married on August 2019 in Missouri, where Caleb is from. They volunteered as my models because they really like the idea of having a Brooklyn wedding experience in the borough they both love and where Quinn grew up.

The custom watercolor crest by Oxford Company Co. with their initials perfectly complimented the romantic, simplicity and elegance we aimed to achieve in this Brooklyn wedding styled shoot. The custom watercolor artwork brought together a marriage of light & deep tones that mimicked the bold bouquet by Snowdrop Flowers NY.  The flowers added a romantic, bold look that brought pizzaz to the simplicity of the other elements of the day. Brooklyn Brides aren't much for a fuss but they do have distinctive instincts and tastes that they don't shy away from. The gown by Floral Bride from The One Bridal Boutique NYC was simple, elegant & just stunning on Quinn.  The delicate neckline and lace sleeves were only overshadowed by the light train which picked up ever so smoothly by the wind added to the romantic theme.  Quinn's hair and makeup by Madge of Faced By Madge were so perfect that Quinn will likely be flying her out to Missouri for her wedding next month.  The soft pink lip, smokey eye, and simple up-do-  pronounced the romantic look we wanted. Her hair loosely put up and adorned with stunning accessories by Wayfarer Bride added to the simplicity & elegance.  Caleb wore a black suit and black tie, and sleek combed hair to one side. These two were amazing and brought so much realness and fun to the photos.  They are truly in love and shared real laughs, embraces, and kisses throughout the shoot. We began the shoot at the foot of Brooklyn Borough Hall, moved up to capture photos among the columns at the top of the steps of this historic Brooklyn building. From there we moved to the fountain at the center garden in front of Borough Hall, and then to the historic residential blocks of lovely Brooklyn Heights, one of my favorite Brooklyn Neighborhoods, for its historic architecture, and quiet charm. The shoot was such a success because everything came together so beautifully.  My hope was to show the little fuss, Brooklyn brides can have with the best of vendors at their side, putting together their vision and maintaining an elegant and romantic aesthetic throughout the wedding process. We had a lovely group of women wedding vendors who kicked butt, and a couple who love each other and made photographing their love, easy.
