Ashokan Dreams New York wedding. Jess met Jon when he was a guest a non-profit event she was working on. He later joined the team and the two became friends, and then before long, a dynamite couple. When Jon knew he wanted to propose, he orchestrated quite an elaborate day.
He surprised Jess after brunch, saying he had planned an entire day for them to get out of the city and enjoy dinner at Blue Hill, their favorite restaurant in Tarrytown, New York. It wasn’t until later that she realized he had spent months planning the perfect proposal with the restaurant staff.
He popped the question after dessert in the fields of dragonflies and stars.
The modern and inventive couple planned a spectacular DIY and detail-filled day. She wore a soft empire waist gown with beaded cap sleeves.
He complemented her classic beauty with a navy suit, along with a blue bow tie and patterned pocket square – which he both designed!
Jess and Jon’s rustic ceremony and reception took place outside and carefully included a mix of natural and vintage details.
Handmade signs, succulents, vintage bottles, and the most delicate of flowers all combined for a little bit of magic in natural, upstate New York.
