Katelyn and Travis had a sweet September wedding in Vegreville, Alberta, Canada. Even though she may look lovely, bride Katelyn had no reservations with doing whatever it took to make lasting lifetime memories on her wedding day. That may, or may not, have included climbing in a barn, standing in bushes and lying in leaves all in her wedding dress. Fortunately, the pictures the couple has can certainly speak for themselves.
Married on their own acreage, Katelyn and Travis had an outdoor ceremony that was filled with the most interesting color palette. Katelyn’s bridesmaids wore long Tiffany blue dresses with small flower details at the waist. They also carried gray handmade paper flowers, which are a unique and frugal trend these days! They wore soft pink statement necklaces and small earrings with their fabulous updos. Even the flower girl donned an adorable white and gray dress full of tulle!
Travis and his groomsmen all wore dark gray three-piece suits. Like the bridesmaids, the groomsmen had the same color blue in their ties and gray boutonnieres. Travis stood out by wearing a black tie.
Katelyn walked down the aisle in a gorgeous ball gown. It had a ruched sweetheart neckline with a crystal waistband and the skirt was full of volume, featuring layers of tulle and an interesting top layer of satin with an asymmetrical hem. She wore small dangling earrings and her long veil fluttered in the soft breeze.
In front of a lovely handmade arbor, complete with fabric and hanging lanterns, the couple pledged forever. While guests exited, the couple took the time to take interesting photos around the location. The couple ascended the loft in the barn, stood in thigh-high bushes covered in burrs and even crawled in a pile of leaves. Katelyn and Travis came out unscathed and have some pretty incredible photos because of it.
Afterwards, Katelyn and Travis celebrated with family and friends in a sparkle-filled reception. Tables were covered with glittering linens and featured dark teal napkins. There were white twinkle lights around the room and silver details everywhere.
This was a wedding that had Katelyn and Travis written all over it. This Canadian couple got the best of both worlds: a lovely down-home ceremony in the middle of nature and a glamorous, shimmering reception that sparkled and shined with every detail. Congratulations, Katelyn and Travis!
